Here we try to answer some of the questions you may have about roller derby – If the question you have isn’t addressed you can always email us at email@example.com.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
MESSAGE US! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to get in contact with someone who can help you get started. We’ll give you the run down and invite you to our next practice. We do have a rolling recruitment so you can jump in at any time!
Roller Derby is a contact sport, so you will need safety equipment. Lucky for you we do have loaner gear available to help you until you get your own. This is in limited supply, so it can be first come first serve depending on how many are in need of gear. You will need to supply your own mouthguard to start, because that’s just gross. We do have some standards!
To play roller derby you will need these safety items: A helmet, mouthguard, elbow pads, wrist guards, and knee pads. There are many different styles and brands available, some may work better for you than others!
Lastly, you will obviously need a pair of Quads (roller skates). Until you can get a sweet pair of your own, we do have rental skates available so you can get started right away!
Bentleys Skate Shop has an online shop, or you can visit the store in the Coventry Mall (Boscov’s Entrance).
The owner, Mr. Bentley, can help you get started in your roller derby adventure!
