Malice in Wonderland

I found out about derby when sassy started, but I was just a supporter for around 2 years. I started during winter conditioning in 2017. I was so nervous my first night, even though I knew a few of the girls already, but everyone was incredibly welcoming and made it fun to be there. I then took off for part of 2018 after I broke my ankle. Everyone was so supportive and amazing that I couldn’t wait to jump back in as soon as I was cleared to skate again! Derby is a challenge every day, and it pushes me to persist at something that’s hard but rewarding. Progress, not perfection!
